The reason for the redesign of the 4-star hotel complex - comprising golfing hotel, spa, conference centre, four restaurants and a golf course - was simple: The building had simply become too small. Almost 55 million euros have been invested in the extension and modernisation to date. JOI-Design in Hamburg is responsible for refurbishing the interior. Two veneers made by ALPI were also used in the complete renovation, for the furniture and diverse installations. The veneers were supplied by HWB Furniere & Holzwerkstoffe in Bad Salzuflen. One is a light-coloured oak veneer and the other is “Titanium Oak” veneer with a warm grey hue. The renovation and extension of the hotel complex will be completed at the end of 2018, by which time the size will have been almost doubled. “Thanks to the attractive natural material veneer, the design of the hotel incorporates nature perfectly. Winding down from the stress of everyday life couldn't be more pleasant for the guests”, said the Secretary of Initiative Furnier + Natur (IFN), Ursula Geismann, about this special project. IFN/DS
