Hans Hahn GmbH: Trade continues following the devastating major fire

Bad Honnef/Bochum. Following a devastating major fire in the veneer building of Hans Hahn GmbH in Bochum at the beginning of May, the "silver lining on the horizon” is now once more in sight. “A temporary move of the office ensured that all employees are able to continue their tasks in line with the circumstances. They continue to be available as usual for their customers and suppliers and are there to provide information, advice and help to all”, emphasised the Managing Director of Hans Hahn GmbH, Patrician Andrew. The sales representatives are also still on the road and advise all potential customers and customers on site. “The purchasing and production departments are working flat out to ensure the familiar quality and reliability. At the moment, new round timber is once again in the production department, so that we can present our own selection of high-quality veneers as quickly as possible”, said Andrew and affirmed: “Our sawn timber stores are fully available for potential customers and customers alike and were not affected by the damage.” Equally, Hans Hahn is still able to access its enormous product portfolio of composite elements, beams and laminates and, despite the unfortunate incident, it is still able to offer solutions for all kinds of different projects. "With strong will and commitment we will continue to push ahead with the recovery of the company and, strengthened by the experience, would like to start a new era. All employees are pulling together and have set themselves the goal of emerging from the misfortune stronger than before. Like a phoenix risen from the ashes”, concluded Andrew. IFN/DS

Initiative Furnier + Natur (IFN) e.V. was founded in 1996 by the German veneer industry and its partners. The purpose of the association based in Bad Honnef is to promote veneer as a material. It is funded and supported by European companies in the veneer industry, trade and the veneer processing industry as well as professional associations of the timber industry.
