The modern and attractive new complex of Vector Informatik is made up of office space, a canteen, a large training area and an underground car park. The building complex is surrounded by a green space and together with the existing buildings forms the so-called “Vector Campus. Fine European oak veneer was installed within the building. Among other things, it was used to finish the canteen area, doors, doorframes and decorative elements in the corridors and wall panelling in the training area. “Veneer shows the beauty of wood to its full advantage. Especially in generously sized rooms, such as those designed by the Schmelzle+Partner architects in Stuttgart, the natural material can display it attractiveness to the full, said europlac Managing Director Reinhold Röhr on the project. Initiative Furnier + Natur (IFN) e.V. was founded in 1996 by the German veneer industry and its partners. The purpose of the association based in Bad Honnef is to promote veneer as a material. It is funded and supported by European companies in the veneer industry, trade and the veneer processing industry as well as professional associations of the timber industry.
